The weekend of August 4th and 5th saw the running of the Irish national saloon championships at craigavon model car club, this event was ran in conjunction with their club double header event 

 
Saturday morning practice went well for all drivers on a warm grippy track , Q1 saw Anthony Fitzpatrick setting the pace and again posting the fastest time in Q2 , jason noonan found some pace for Q3 and took the tq position fir the   Finals with Anthony in second and Clifford mcgaughey third on the grid 
The 30 minute main a final proved to be a battle from start to finish with only 4 seconds to spare between 1st and 2nd when the buzzer went

Sunday and round two saw another warm and dry days racing , with practice over the battle for tq resumed with 3 rounds of qualifying , Anthony took q1 , jason q2 and Clifford took q3 , on fastest qualifying time over the three rounds jason noonan took pole for the final 
The 30 minute final again had some great battles on the track , after a clean start by all drivers and tyres all up to working temperatures Anthony edged past jason for the lead but a mistake by Anthony minutes later handed the lead back to jason , who managed to hold on till the end despite pressure from the chasing pack
