1/5th  Large  Scale on Road

As it says, these cars are Large. About 1M long they weigh 10 Kilos and are powered by a 23cc Two Stroke engine. The engine in standard form has about 3 HP but when tuned can give up to 6 HP. The cars race on rubber tyres, have a single speed, rear wheel drive only, and have 4 wheel ventilated disc brakes either cable or hydraulically  operated. They are controlled by 3 or 4 servos, 1 or 2 for the steering, 1 for the throttle and rear brakes, and one for the front brakes. The radio is a 3 channel type and allows for adjustment of front and rear brakes. The races consist of 7-10 min qualifying rounds and the finals are 30 mins. Long. There are about 8 different manufacturers, and are either Alloy based, or a Carbon Fibre and alloy mix. They are relatively expensive to buy ( about 2000 Euro + ) but inexpensive to run, as they use pump fuel with 2 stroke oil.  There are a selection of bodies available, Touring cars or GT cars and being so large, the paint work can be different.
